Event and Collaborative Piano
I am available to perform background music or entertainment for your event of any size! Please contact me with the date/location, music preference, and any other specific needs to receive a quote. I can provide my own electronic instrument for an additional fee.
I have extensive experience working with vocalists and instrumentalists as a collaborative pianist, and am available for rehearsals, performances, or to create professional audio recordings.
About Lessons
How do lessons work?
Lessons are held once a week. At our first meeting we will discuss the student’s starting level, personal goals, and learning style.
Then, each lesson you learn new skills including reading music and theory, warm-ups, technique, songs and repertoire, chords, ear-training, and so much more! Every student is unique, and I prep each students’ lesson with their goals and needs in mind.
Most students use a method book. Which book depends on the student and what material would benefit them most.
We also use lots of games, videos, worksheets, and activities that keep learning fun! I expect students to practice and complete the homework given to them each week.
What will I learn in lessons?
- To read and play from sheet music
- To play piano with good technique
- Music appreciation, history, and theory
- Performance, memory, and motor skills
- How to play chords, lead sheets, and basic improvisation
- Building a personal relationship with music
Lesson Studio Events
The studio provides optional performance and social activities. Each semester features an end-of-term recital, monthly casual Open Mics, and educational events like Master Classes. We work with The Crescendi Collective, a multi-state group of piano teachers who combine their studios to provide excellent events and opportunities for all our students!

Types of Lessons
Online Lessons
Virtual lessons provide ultimate convenience and are equally effective as other teaching styles! I am very experienced in teaching online, and will help you achieve your musical goals wherever you are in the world.
This is recommended for adults and teens, especially those who need a flexible schedule.
Requirements: A strong internet connection, Zoom or Discord, a full size instrument (digital or acoustic), microphone and camera of suitable quality
In-Home Lessons
In-person lessons right in your home! If you prefer face-to-face instruction, I will travel to you each week for our meetings. If the student is a minor, a parent or guardian must be present in the home the entire duration of the lesson.
This is recommended for young children who may have less focus during virtual learning.
Available within South Bay, Santa Monica, and West LA areas. Additional travel fees apply.
